Apostasy with its Religious and Political Dimensions
As examined in detail in this work, in Islamic law, entering or leaving a religion is not a matter of worldly investment unless there is a legal element of crime. With many verses such as "Whoever wishes, let him believe, and whoever wishes, let him not" and "There is no compulsion in religion", the Holy Quran leaves it to the free will of the person to believe or not. Hz. The biggest evidence of this is that the Prophet did not force his interlocutors to believe throughout his life. On the contrary, opening the doors to those who want to enter Islam and threatening those who want to leave with the death penalty will be both a double standard and a practice that will lead to the breeding of hypocritical hypocrites in society. Such an approach means the formation of a totalitarian mentality that kills pluralism in society, which is clearly contrary to the principles and correct practices put forward by Islam on behalf of the administrative system.
